Body Fat Percentage Calculator

Calculate your body fat percentage using the Jackson & Pollock skinfold formula. This method uses calipers to measure skinfold thickness at four body locations.

Skinfold Measurements

Measurement Instructions

Use calipers to measure skinfold thickness. All measurements are in millimeters (mm). Pinch skin and measure with calipers 1cm away from fingers.

Jackson & Pollock Method

Uses skinfold calipers to measure body fat at four sites. This method calculates body density and converts it to body fat percentage using the Siri equation.

Measurement Tips

Use proper calipers and pinch skin firmly. Measure on the right side of the body. Take 2-3 measurements at each site and use the average.

Important Notes

Results are estimates. Body fat distribution varies between individuals. For medical decisions, consult a healthcare professional.

Step 1: Sum of Skinfolds

Sum = Tricep + Bicep + Subscapular + Suprailiac (mm)

Step 2: Body Density (Jackson & Pollock)

Men: BD = 1.1125025 - (0.0013125 × Sum) + (0.0000055 × Sum²) - (0.000244 × Age)
Women: BD = 1.096095 - (0.0006952 × Sum) + (0.0000011 × Sum²) - (0.000714 × Age)

Step 3: Body Fat % (Siri Equation)

Body Fat % = ((4.95 / Body Density) - 4.5) × 100
